About ChuchuConnect

ChuchuConnect is a free learning and support app created for autistic children, parents, caregivers, therapists, and families.

Our mission is simple: help every child learn, connect, and grow with love, patience, and community support.

Privacy Policy

ChuchuConnect is a free educational and parent community app with a separate offline child learning experience and an online account and community area for adults. ChuchuConnect does not contain advertising or subscriptions and does not sell personal information.

Neutral Age Screen

When the app first opens, the user is asked to freely enter a date of birth so ChuchuConnect can show the appropriate experience. The entered birthdate is used only for this decision and is not retained. Only the resulting child or adult selection is stored locally on that device.

Information We Collect

When an adult creates or uses an account, we may collect their name, email address, user ID, and optional profile information such as a bio, child age, interests, challenges, account role, and professional verification details.

The online community may store content and actions users choose to provide, including profiles, posts, comments, messages to administrators, announcements, likes, saved posts, follows, reports, blocks, and photos attached to profiles, posts, comments, or messages. Information users voluntarily provide may include autism, health, communication, sensory, or support-related details.

We may also collect a device notification token so the parent area can deliver notifications. Notifications are optional.

Offline Child Learning Area

Child users receive a separate offline learning experience. They cannot create accounts or access profiles, posts, comments, messages, community uploads, or other social features. Firebase, notifications, and online community services are not initialized for the child experience. Custom learning pictures selected for child activities are stored locally on the device and are not uploaded to the online community unless an adult later chooses to upload content through an adult community feature.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage accounts, provide profiles and community features, personalize relevant app content, send requested notifications, verify professional profiles, moderate reports, protect users, prevent misuse, and maintain app security.

Service Providers and Sharing

ChuchuConnect uses service providers that process information on our behalf, including Google Firebase services for authentication, database storage, cloud functions, and notifications, and Cloudinary for uploaded image storage. External or embedded content may be subject to the privacy policy of the service that provides it.

We do not sell personal information and do not use personal information for advertising. ChuchuConnect is free and does not contain ads or subscriptions. Profile and community content that a user chooses to post may be visible to other users of the community.

Children's Privacy

The account and online community are for adults only. Child users cannot create accounts, access the community, create profiles, post, comment, message, upload community media, or exchange personal information with other users. Children may use the separate offline learning experience with parent or guardian supervision.

Adults must not share a child's address, school, phone number, passwords, precise location, medical records, or other identifying or sensitive information. Adults should share a child's photo or information only when they have permission and authority to do so.

Permissions and Security

Optional camera or photo access is used only when a user chooses a picture, and optional notification permission is requested in the parent area. Data sent to our online services is encrypted in transit. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee complete security.

Retention and Deletion

We keep adult account and community information as needed to provide the service and meet safety or legal obligations. Adults may request account deletion inside the app from Parent Profile > Request Account Deletion, or by following the Delete Account instructions below. Requests are processed within 30 days after identity verification. Limited records may remain for up to 90 days when needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup recovery, and are then deleted or anonymized.

Delete Account

You can request deletion of your ChuchuConnect account inside the app from your profile/account area.

You may also email us at chuchuconnect@gmail.com with the subject line: Delete My ChuchuConnect Account.

Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days after we verify the account owner's identity.

We will delete or anonymize the account and its associated profile information, posts, comments, messages, notification information, and uploaded content.

Limited records may be retained for up to 90 days when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup recovery. After that period, those records are deleted or anonymized.

By downloading, accessing, or using ChuchuConnect, you agree to these Terms. ChuchuConnect provides a separate offline child learning experience and an online parent support community for adults. It does not provide medical, psychological, behavioral, educational, legal, therapeutic, or emergency advice.

Adult-Only Community

The account and online community are for adults only. Child users cannot create accounts, access the community, create profiles, post, comment, message, upload community media, or exchange personal information with other users.

Adult users are responsible for their profiles, posts, comments, messages, and uploads. Do not post illegal, abusive, hateful, threatening, misleading, unsafe, infringing, or privacy-violating content. Community posts are personal experiences and support information, not medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making health, therapy, diet, education, or treatment decisions.

ChuchuConnect may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten community safety. Professional verification means documentation was reviewed; it does not guarantee licensing status, quality of care, competence, treatment outcomes, or recommendations.

Community Guidelines

Adults Only

Community accounts and participation are limited to adults. Children cannot access or participate in the online community.

Be Kind and Respectful

Bullying, harassment, hate speech, threats, discrimination, or personal attacks are not allowed.

No Unsafe Claims

Do not claim that any treatment, diet, detox, supplement, therapy, or product cures autism or guarantees results. Encourage families to speak with a qualified professional.

Protect Child and Family Privacy

Do not share a child's or family's address, school, phone number, passwords, precise location, medical records, or other sensitive identifying information.

No Spam or Scams

Do not post fake cures, miracle products, unsafe links, repeated advertising, fundraising scams, or misleading information.

Report Problems

Use the in-app block and report tools for suspicious, abusive, unsafe, or inappropriate activity. Administrators may warn, mute, block, remove content, or restrict accounts to keep the community safe.

ChuchuConnect is not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
